The external-applied power frequency voltage withstand test can only test the main insulation condition of the power equipment but not test minor insulation condition. However, among those insulation damage accidents, the minor insulation accidents take up a large proportion. Hence, taking an induced voltage withstand test to CT/PT/ power transformer is necessary for checking its minor insulation condition. So induced voltage withstand test is necessary for checking its main and minor insulation. We can do induced voltage withstand test to transformer, PT by using three Times Frequency Power Generator.
